Aliens in Australia?

Ok, so here's an  example of an amazing Primary source, this is the record of  "Aliens" rights in South Australia last century, and by ' aliens ' the law didn't mean little green people from spaceships from outer space, no!! In this document, the writer meant Chinese people when they used the term Alien.
now that must raise some questions??
Do we still call new Australians Aliens??
How has voting changed Australia??
